The station with the display on and network card active draws approximately 200 mA at 24 volts, translating to about 5 watts of power. The network card accounts for about 3 watts. A loop of 7 stations draws a total of 1.4 A at 24V. When selecting a 4-wire cable, ensure the gauge results in no more than a 4-volt drop. Additionally, the data cable pair should be twisted to ensure signal integrity.
The display’s backlight is rated for at least 50,000 hours at full brightness. However, the default brightness is set 40% lower, and in dimmed mode, the brightness is reduced by 80%. This extends the expected backlight lifespan to well over 10 years.”
